Three Modern, Intermediate Cello Solos

Three Unaccompanied Pieces
This set comprises three contrasting miniatures: Moderato, Allegretto and Allegro.
Though unaccompanied, each piece is complete in itself, with its own mood, time signature, and harmonic direction.
The first, Moderato, is expressive and flowing; the second, Allegretto, is light, graceful, and slightly playful; the third, Allegro, is more vigorous and spirited.
The music moves freely through many keys, keeping the ear engaged and giving the player experience in shaping phrases in different tonal colours.
Written to be rewarding rather than demanding, it is suitable for intermediate players and upwards.
Running time 5 min 30 sec.
